Lenders, not Borrowers!
I shall NOT borrow from others. But I, perhaps, will lend to others. Depending on circumstances. When I lend, I tell myself it should not be an amount that I would need. That's because I should not expect to get it back.

I've observed the following 5 points:

1. People who lend always swear, "I will pay you asap / when I get my pay."
2. People who gamble always have a reason to borrow.
3. The odds of getting back your money are 1 out of 2. The odds of getting back your money ON TIME are 1 out of 4. (actual statistics may be lower)
4. 3 out of 4 times, the relationship deteriorates, especially when they don't return on time.
5. People who borrow from you always tend to borrow again.

I've formulated the following 5 pointers for soft-hearted people:

1. Don't lend money that you will need to use. Your loved ones deserve it better.
2. Always lower the amount by saying, "I don't have so much... how abt $__"
3. Never lend to gamblers. If they must face that loanshark, let them. Otherwise they don't learn their lesson and many a family is ruined because of that. Refer them to community help centres if you want to help.
4. Distance yourself from repeat borrowers. Chances are that they are treating you as a cash cow.
5. Don't lend till you've to borrow from others. It's a vicious cycle. And you're stupid to get into this shit.

If you must lend $, lend $100 to me every month. In 5 years, I'll return you $6000. In 10 years, I'll return you $12,000. I'll keep the interest from investing your money, thanks.
