Given that my first memory of being alive was staring into a bulb under a lampshade, I have always been drawn to bright lights.

So, I was editing the photographs Stickman had taken of beautiful homes when to my delight, I came across this GIGANTIC lantern. I can't show it in full, but here is a peek-a-boo showing the intricate patterns cast on the ceiling.

I did have a chance to be up close and personal with a much smaller lantern belonging to Stickman's friend. Gave it one gentle spin, and I was instantly hypnotised. The whole earth was filled with its glory...

Now, if I were on a shoestring budget, the lantern on the left is what I will choose. It is an ordinary metal tealight lantern which could be bought off just about any shop in Holland Village Shopping Centre. But do not underestimate the rusty little thing. It totally transforms the surroundings into mystical Bali.

I own an even smaller tealight holder bought umpteen christmases ago from Body Shop. Perhaps I shall put it to good use very soon and post a pic of it up here.
