With most people, quality of relationship is proportional to physical proximity. One moment, you are sick of seeing the same faces day after day. Next moment, they're out of your life and you have no idea what caused the drift.

Sadly, I do not know a majority of my 200+ colleagues. There're simply too many new faces around after the transition and I usually do not hang around if my work's done. One other guy and I are the sole survivors from my batch.

I was also not close to my own team in the beginning but now, we're on good terms. Who knows how long we'll stay this way? So I decide to remember the people that makes going to office fun for me :-

1. Scarecrow : As tall as one. We disliked each other at first sight as we thought one another very proud individuals. A straightforward, impatient guy. Butt of jokes but getting quite likeable. Can't hold his drink. Tone-deaf.
2. N : Easy-going, Mr Nice Guy. He aspires to become a taxi-driver. His haircut from Kimage only costs $5. Getting married soon. We studied in the same Secondary School.
3. C : Toothy smile. Also planning for marriage. He's expert at analysing the fine print in competitors' policies. Activist for Children Cancer Society. We wear ribbons and buy tulips because of him. Very down-to-earth.
4. TW : A gentle giant. He's from a very rich family, but he's super nice and accommodating with no airs about him. Specialises in Indian foreigners' market. Just got married too. Allergic to chilli.
5. WX : We let him tag along because he's Scarecrow's part-time lover. They bicker incessantly over the silliest things. We like to watch that. He's crazy over someone in the office and can't stop mentioning her name. That's how we realised he was straight. He's got a good voice.
6. CS : The only chick I'm close to in the company. She has a sad story behind her but she's tougher than she knows! We sat next to each other during a mass meeting and that's how we met!
7. Myself : I hear from others that I'm labelled "Tai-tai" though nothing can be further from the truth. (Stickman abuses his authority at home.) I'm also labelled after a well-known pub because of my surname and they know I hate karaoke.

Sometimes I wish nothing will change. But change is the only constant in life and it's not use complaining about it. Everything has its season.
