I was invited to S.E.W.'s house in Marine Parade today. She wanted to know the opportunity costs of paying off her bank loan for her flat in full - in view of the rising bank interest rates. She had just met up with XXXX Bank's branch manager and preferred me instead, so I feel pretty honoured. While waiting for her to digest the pros and cons of every possible scenario, I stole quick glances out of her window.

The view of the sea was simply irresistable. S.E.W.'s terribly proud of the view. She bought the apartment BECAUSE of the view! Suddenly, I find myself envying her. I'm smitten with the idea of living out my golden years in East Coast. If I've to retire in this concrete jungle, then I hope to be able to choose where I want to spend it in.

Anyway, after hours spent on drawing up an investment plan for her (actually we were very distracted by her dog), she drove me to Expo for service. This weekend, Joyce Meyer will be talking on the topic of "Loving ourselves." Most religious pharisees and skeptics alike will frown on this supposedly narcissistic topic, but I tell you this 62-year-old from States SIMPLY ROCKS. I'm catching ALL her three services and when the link to her message's out, I'll share it so you can decide for yourself if I've gone nuts. -end of religious advert and back to topic-

I was supposed to meet Client #2 but kena fly kite because of the heavy rain. Being flown kite is very common in my line. To survive, we must have leather hides and learn not to take it personally. It is not easy to be bo-chup about it TODAY though, especially when I have lugged her heavy financial portfolio all over Singapore. It almost killed me.

In the end, the silver lining was that I got to fellowship over dinner at a Bedok hawker center. The dessert stall uncle boasted to my friend that his chendol is the BESTEST so I went to buy also. I'm a sucker for this kind of sales pitch. It's quite good actually lah, if you are a chendol-lover.

I'm going to end off here, because the battery's getting low. Anyway, you got a slice of my life to its finest detail today. I'll probably blog about 'Evening Primrose Oil Will Save My Life' in my next entry. So watch out for it.
