CS and I had a great time shopping in Raffles Place yesterday. You see, shopping at Raffles Place is a game for the two of us.

We patronise this shop where we suspect the clothes are made in China but the designs are mainly from Hong Kong, and occasionally Korea. Customers from aunties to chic office girls to tai-tais visit regularly. The clothes are cheap, but it takes an effort to sift out the good finds from the rags. But I wouldn't complain since $30 tops from Bega and Dano can be gotten for a third of the price here.

CS managed to nab a VERY RED halterneck dress that could also be worn as a skirt. If anyone could carry off wearing an angpao, she could. I couldn't find anything I liked though.
Fortunately for me, there were a few roadside stalls set up just for CNY, and there I spotted pretty cool tops going for just $10! It was a no-brainer. Brown is my colour, and to a lesser extent, green. [See picture]

We exchanged numbers with the gorgeous lady boss, who is a 40+ air-stewardess with Northwest Airlines. She looked mid-twenties but there was a slight hint of her actual age at the corner of her eyes. She works only 10 days per month but gets a decent pay. Singapore Girls listen up, that's a lot less than your workload! She spends her free time smoking, drinking and opening profitable roadside stalls with her brother.

We were interested in her job (more likely the free time), but according to her, the airlines has stopped employing air-stewardesses since 10 years ago! :-( Aiya, but my job also not bad, can shop when people are working. Free time can be arranged but at personal expense.
