Fresh off the Straits Times today..

Incidentally, I've been telling that to my mother, whose depression (probably still mild) is making her a little 'Alzheimeric'. I hope she'll understand that she has to make the decision to be happy, and not base it on how she's treated by others.

I visit her more often after my classes nowadays. She seems to improve when she has someone to listen to her regularly. Perhaps with time, the hurt and resentment will fade.

Hurt people who nurse their resentment are like festering wounds, and it's difficult to say anything that won't agitate them.
