Under chinese tradition, the 3rd day of Lunar New Year is inauspicious for visiting homes as supersition has it that quarrels will erupt between the visitor and the host family. Perhaps it's not a good day for staying home to face your spouse as well.

So I dumped Stickman at home and met DH for high tea at Tea Cosy at PS. It's part cafe part antique shop where you can sit on unique pieces of furniture to enjoy your afternoon tea! All the pieces in the shop, including the furniture and porcelainware used are for sale! After a while, it got boring. When two girls get bored, it's shopping time. We realised with our combined resources : UOB Lady's Card, Topshop card and Dorothy Perkins discount voucher, one can go very far on $100. It felt good boosting economic growth.

After DH left, I met my Secondary School friends. The group has grown, as most of us are attached and brought boyfriends/husbands along. I had an agonising time waiting for them to finish KTV at Chinatown PartyWorld. The KTV provided 5 mandarin oranges for the festive fruit platter, which was quite ironic because most of us can't wait to get rid of our own mandarin oranges. However, we bagged the oranges because it cost a whopping $20.

For dinner, we went to this place called Amica (sp?), an award-winning Italian restaurant along the Tanjong Pagar wedding boutique stretch. It has its own live band, and the lead singer, Ash, has a voice of an angel. We were captivated by his charm, and were all trying to figure out his relationship with a lone girl who sat at a table directly in front of the band. Was she his wife? No, she looked too young. But we noticed she followed whenever he went out for a smoke during the breaks. He introduced her as his sister... hmm... 'god-sister' perhaps.

I strongly recommend the place. Especially weekday nights, where the whole place is practically yours. Weet weet.
