I dropped by my parents' place in the evening and took a step of faith to pray for my mother, who had fever, tummyache and backache. It was a bit awkward, but she thanked me after that. She recovered from the fever and was feeling well enough to join me and dad for dinner at Swensen's.

At Swensen's, an ex-student of mine suddenly appeared at our table. He was working part-time as a waiter. I must have eaten enough gingko nuts for I remembered his name and went "Aaarrgghhh D! What're you doing here?!" Later on, he blessed us with free soup and ice-cream. When he was in Sec Two, I made his life quite terrible as he used to terrorise another kid. (He looked sincere enough and I don't think he spat in the food, haha). I, of course, took down his number, so that I can have more free ice-cream on subsequent visits. Anyway, it was sweet of him and I gave him a GEM (for good service) card. Not sure if that'll benefit him personally in any way.

Actually, I miss teaching. Have been plagued by visions of returning to teaching, and somemore Stickman's been telling me about the antics of his cute but naughty P1 students. What do I mean by 'plagued'? Because I also don't want to. It's very conflicting and I'm not left in peace. I've just taken up a tuition assignment although I said I won't-but I did. Crazily enough, I'll be donating all the money from this assignment. Yes, I've gone siao. And no, I really am not earning really big bucks to do this. But yes, I'm doing it for reasons that will take an eternity to fathom. So the only reason is I've gone siao. I think I'll take up one more assignment if a suitable one comes along the way.
