Today I passed up the chance to play paintball at a highly subsidised rate with my team-mates at work. I'm cursed. 8 out of 10 times they organise these incentive outings, I'd have to miss it because I'm ill. And after they arranged it on a Monday for me too.

But I found that coughing up big green round blobs of phlegm can be surprisingly pleasurable. It's better that it goes down into the drainage pipes than down my oesophagus and into my stomach, mixing with my lunch of miso noodles.

So I spent the whole day in bed and when it's time for my appointed date with Stickman I slithered out of the house and met him at our usual carriage headed town-wards. I looked sick and tired, he remarked, wondering what I've been doing the whole day.

For once, we were not heading to Giant or NTUC but town leh! We alighted at Raffles Place and headed towards where he proposed to me the second time - Indochine! :-) So that's where we had our romantic dinner to celebrate the anniversary of the successful proposal. (If I hadn't said no when he first proposed in the dreadful Jurong Point Swensens, I'd be celebrating it there today.. shudders.. ladies, please be more discriminating..)

[But as always, with Stickman, there's bound to be an anti-climax(es). Firstly, he got the date wrong (as in he thought it was 03 Mar today). Secondly, in such a sophisticated setting, he calculated our bill and his year-end savings goal and declared, "Ok! No more fine dining for the rest of the year!"]

Stuffed with green curry, spring rolls and deep fried tofu, we walked to the newly-revamped Clarke Quay and almost took a ride on Gen-X. Afraid that we'd spew our dinner contents all over Clarke Quay from 20 stories high, we gave up the idea.

Anyway it was a wonderful date and I hope he'd be more generous when I bear him children.
