Isn't it common sense to move to the front passenger seat if you're the last person getting off in your friend's car?

And if you didn't, you could always shift to that seat when everyone else has alighted.

And even if you didn't know about this particular car etiquette, you could have heeded the prompting of well-meaning friends. At this juncture, the polite driver would of course assure you it's alright to remain seated at the back...

So you stay put. In your comfort zone, you still could insist that it's alright because the driver doesn't mind.

Is it an EQ issue or does it hint at something worse? People who offer to drive you for free are not at your beck and call. They are not taxi drivers. They pay for the convenience of having a car, and you make it inconvenient for them. Ms Pokey, I think it's time we confronted you. We'll do it nicely, and hope you listen.
